Multilingual Rare Disease Research & Patient Resource Platform

Erdheim-Chester disease is a rare and complex condition affecting patients across the globe — many of whom rely on digital resources to find doctors, care centers, clinical trials, and research that could directly impact their treatment. The previous platform contained thousands of medical resources spread across an outdated structure with limited navigation, poor search functionality, and no multilingual support. Our mission was to redesign and rebuild the platform into a modern, structured, and globally accessible resource for the ECD community.

The platform required a sophisticated content architecture capable of organizing seven distinct content types — including doctors, patient locations, care centers, clinical studies, and events — into an intuitive, searchable, and filterable system. Two interactive global maps were developed to visually display patient locations and care center distributions worldwide, giving users a spatial understanding of the global ECD community and making it easier to identify nearby support resources.

We delivered a comprehensive platform redesign with Bloomerang CRM integration, automated social media posting, monthly automated reporting, and multilingual content support. The result is a modern, patient-centered digital platform that gives the Erdheim-Chester community — patients, families, researchers, and medical professionals worldwide — a trusted, organized, and accessible gateway to critical rare disease resources.
